I don’t really know what I was think when I designed the flight UI for VOID. Someone once described it as “it likes a clown threw up on my iphone”. Awesome.

Well the good news is that there is an update coming out soon with something far less intrusive and much easier on the eyes. Stay tuned for that and more, soon.

While I love the Void UI, the new one looks a lot nicer. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!

Does anyone know an email address for Alex or if he reads these? I have a few ideas for games for the iPhone, and I was wondering if he would be interested in creating them.

    Thanks!

Hey, loving the new update. The UI is much, much nicer. The game still crashes a lot on my iPhone 3G, though, and I wish it ran a little more smoothly.

I bought VOID day of release, but took a long break from playing it. Not sure when the music got into the game, but it’s fantastic. Have you thought about making the soundtrack available as a separate download?

    Great game!

Planning a sequel? I’d buy it on the spot :)

So I see in the achievements for Void in Open Feint, there’s an achievement “Ancient Technology” that says something about an alien artifact. There’s also another one that says to collect all 4 alien artifacts.

Where exactly do you find them? I thought I’d find one when I conquered the Laanar homeworld. I figured each homeworld would have an artifact. However, I saw no artifact. I haven’t conquered any of the other homeworlds yet.

There is only a good chance that one will drop on the homeworld stages, so you may have gotten unlucky. Give it another shot and I bet it will drop this time.

  6. Marf Says:

I’ve beaten every homeworld multiple times now. I assume the Alien Artifacts are the equipment that have a value of 1: Shard of Orthos, Cykan Incinerator, and Heart of Wrethk.

No matter how often I beat the Lannar homeworld, I never get an artifact from them. Also, despite the fact I’ve equipped all the artifacts I listed above, I did not get the “Ancient Technology” achievement.

It’s not necessarily a big deal, I’m just reporting my findings so you can look into it.

Void is looking better and I think it is time to play that campaign over again! Well I love the new UI and there is very little crashes so +! Can wait until there are more ships and a sequal comes out! Keep up the good work! I would also suggest maybe a items shop in which you can buy any item you want. For a large fee of course! And what about allied ship, I mean fighting alone is quiet dangerous so why not have people to Reinforce you? Maybe you could use the reinforcements after you beat that level once or so that way it’s a little easyier to cash farm.

There should be an ipad/HD version. If there was, i would pay almost any ammount for it. And i have an entire 2 1/2 pages of update ideas. Just so ya know.

its a very nifty game, makes a lot of fun and looks great! thats a rarity in todays games/apps, congratulations!

but i have a suggestion that would make this game much more awesome and maybe a lot of people will like it, i hope you consider realizing it ;)

have you ever played the old microsoft game “freelancer”? its a 3d space shooter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freelancer_%28video_game%29) and very awesome game, even for today’s standards. anyway in that game you can buy your own ship, do missions, trade with people to gain money, follow a main story or explore the galaxy.

so to increase the feeling that you are in a giant universe that you can explore and not jump from one side to the other i would first suggest that you dont make a “mission map”, rather a world map to see where you currently are in the universe. to jump from one galaxy to another you would have to travel to a hypergate that you can locate in you galaxy map.

its a bit hard to explain all the awesome features you could implement but if you play freelancer im pretty sure you’ll know what i mean ;)

basically my suggestion is that you do a freelancer 2d but with other maps, missions and only 2d graphics of course. im sure some of those things are possible to handle for the iphone and if you could do that, it would be an awesome game :)
